Carrot Cake Porridge

The Porridge Blog: My 3 Favorite Recipes

Porrdige: The most versatile breakfast there is

Porridge is available in a wide variety of different tastes and flavors. You can combine it with fruits, but also with vegetables, you can enjoy it sweet, but also salty. In my opinion, there is something for everyone with porridge. People who tell me they do not like porridge are liars or just haven´t tried my recipes yet! It is the perfect comfort food  for colder months, which will keep you warm and satisfied.

It is not only delicious but also super healthy and good for you. Combining your oats with vegetables creates quite some volume and will keep you fuller for longer. This is especially great when you´re eating in a calorie deficit but also if you just enjoy big portion sizes.

Why is a warm breakfast good for you?

Warm breakfasts ensure a pleasant body feeling. In comparison to a cold breakfast, a warm breakfast is easily digestible and also digested faster. This is important, because good digestion is the key to well-being and health. A warm breakfast supports digestion in the long term and can possibly prevent bloating. Another benefit is that cooked and warm nutrients are easier for our body to absorb.

Furthermore, warm breakfasts can prevent ravenous appetite attacks. This is best achieved with porridge. It provides complex carbohydrates, replenishes reserves of energy and keeps you full for a long time.
